‘A week of golf on PEI’

By far the best course we played was the Links at Crowbush Cove. The course was difficult (recommended for avid golfers only) and the seascapes were lovely. A true test of golf. Next best was Dundarave. It has a sister course called Brudenell River which is easier and more traditional. Dundarave is long so make sure you have good shoes if you walk the course. Brudenell was fun and a good course for juniors if you are golfing as a family. Belvedere is also a traditional course located in Charlottetown. Try and play in the afternoon to avoid the bugs. Also a good course for juniors. Fox Meadow is located beside The Teaching Academy so I played while my wife took lessons. Afterwards we met and played nine. The food was great in The Clubhouse. Today we play Glen Afton which looks fun. Favorite 3 holes…. #16 at Crowbush, #8 at Dundarave, #10 at Brudenell River.

From the moment we arrived to the time of departure, no details were left out…. Our daughter’s luggage was lost for a day by the airline and right away you brought her brand new pyjamas and made her feel special. Your thoughtfullness and kindness was greatly appreciated.

Thank you Ted for bringing and cooking the fresh lobsters for us. It was our first time serving it and we thoroughly enjoyed it.

Our family has travelled extensively but your place is the gem among them. It’s impecable cleaniness, comfort, attention to detail and beautiful grounds made ‘The Hideaway’ an unforgettable and very peaceful place to come.

We will highly recommend it.

PS Here are come highlights from our family -
-Brianna (age 11) - the beach, climbing the rocks, seeing the tide in and out, picking up sea shells - seeing ‘Anne of Green Gables Musical’s 100th Anniversary and ice cream from ‘Cows’.
-Patrick (age 14) - golfing and taking lessons at The Canadian Academy, reading and buying T-shirts at ‘Coastal Cultures’ and biking The Confederation Trail.
- Nathan (age 16) - definitely the golf, played six courses in total.
- hot tub with the rest of us after those golfing day.
